A SPECIAL service will be held in Leedstown on Sunday to mark 150 years of worship at the town's church.
People are being invited to celebrate the anniversary of Leedstown United Methodist Church, which first opened its doors in 1863.
Visitors can see a display about the history of the church, collated by Barrie Williams and share in a special celebration cake.
Jackie Paul, from the church, said: "If you have ever had anything to do with Leedstown chapel in the past please try to come along to help us celebrate this special day in the church's life."
Following the morning service, by guest preacher the Reverend Harry Chant, from Helston, churchgoers will be welcomed to a 'bring and share' lunch in the Sunday School rooms.
Mrs Paul, who has been involved with the church for more than 30 years, said: "We have always tried to make it a building for the community, not just for people who go there to worship; everybody is welcome there."
The hour-long service celebrating the church's milestone will begin at 11am, and will be followed by lunch.
