FUNDRAISERS taking part in last year's Yacht Inn Swim raised more than £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The total when combined with sponsorship paid directly to the cancer charity reached a staggering £3,825.

More than 400 swimmers took part in the race from Newlyn Harbour to the Yacht Inn in Penzance in 2012, with Grant Quigley from Manchester smashing the record with a time of 14 minutes and 33 seconds.

The next swim is on August 23.
