THIS huge barrel jellyfish was spotted swimming gracefully in Mount’s Bay this morning, but do not worry – the creatures are not harmful to humans.

The predicted hot weather is likely to bring swarms of the jellyfish, which are the largest found in British seas, out in Cornish waters.

It was filmed by Ross Williams while he was out for a paddle from Newlyn to Praa Sands and back earlier today.

They feed mostly on plankton and have been described as the basking shark of the jellyfish world.

Some have already been spotted washed up on beaches along the Duchy’s north coast.
