IF YOU desire quirky, fun and unique gifts then look no further than this local store.

Drift opened more than six years ago and has been thriving ever since.

This quaint little Penzance store is a gem in the crown of the local gift market.

Owner Sandra Bailey, 53, said: "We stock different but affordable goods. Selling generally to locally-based customers, we buy little and often, so that the stock is kept fresh and interesting.

"Our motto here is, 'You don't know what you want until you come in and take a look'. People usually get tempted when they're in here and new customers tend to be pleasantly surprised."

The shop features gifts for all ages, from baby clothes to handbags, although men, be warned; it primarily stocks women's goods.

"We do of course sell some men's things," Mrs Bailey said, "but our client base is mainly women."

The staff at Drift are very friendly and keen to welcome new faces. "We're a great bunch and always go the extra mile for our customers," she said. "We offer a great personal service."

Drift is located in the centre of Market Jew Street, so go in and take a look.
