RUGBY fans can watch what is almost guaranteed to be a Christmas cracker for a knock down price on Saturday as Cornish rivals Redruth and the Cornish All Blacks lock horns at the Recreation Ground (2pm).
The Reds this week announced a 'Christmas Special' which entitles members of all Cornish clubs entry for a reduced price of £5.
Games between these fierce rivals rarely disappoint and as Redruth look to avenge September's 31-10 defeat at Polson Bridge, head coach Ashley Morcom is calling on all rugby fans to come and watch what promises to be another memorable encounter in National 2 South.
He said: "We are trying to get as many people in and hopefully there will be a good crowd.
"These are never poor games, derby games are always entertaining and I'm sure it will be a great day for Cornish rugby."
As well as local pride being at stake, the extra incentive for Redruth is that victory will take them above the All Blacks.
But with Saturday's visitors hitting a purple patch recently, winning their last three, Morcom knows the Reds will have to be at their best this weekend.
He said: "They've hit a bit of form and they will be going into this with a bit of confidence.
"But form doesn't really count for anything in these games and I know our boys are going to be well up for it.
"It's probably one of the easier games for me because they don't need any geeing up.
"We can leapfrog them if we win and I know the boys will be giving it everything they can to do that."
Morcom was disappointed with the manner of Saturday's defeat at Clifton, where he felt the Reds 'gifted' their hosts at least three tries in a 35-21 defeat.
The result means Redruth are still searching for their first away win of the season and Morcom said: "It was frustrating and we were punished for making silly mistakes.
"We will address that and hopefully put things right for what is a must win game."
