PRESENTERS from Penzance-based Penwith Radio will be taking to the DJ booth of Sound Nightclub on Friday when the station takes over the club for its Christmas party.

Reflecting the diversity of music played by the station, the team will be providing a wide range of party tunes, from chart to ska, from pop to old skool rave.

Presently internet-based with a world-wide coverage, Penwith Radio was awarded an Ofcom licence for FM coverage and is expected to broadcast on FM early in 2014.

The team includes experienced presenters who have worked and trained in hospital radio, for Classic FM, with the BBC and experienced journalists, actors and writers. It also provides room for the unusual, the zany and the avant garde.

Station presenter and DJ Kevin Godden said: "At Penwith Radio we are proud of the diversity of entertainment we offer, and the personalities of our presenters. I am sure this will come across resulting in a unique Christmas party with something for everyone. We are grateful to the team at Sound for letting us loose and enabling us to raise much-needed cash through advance ticket sales."

All proceeds from advance ticket sales go direct to the station. Snap up a ticket from Step By Step Tanning, Arcade Steps, direct from the station in the Wharfside Shopping Centre (01736 362884), or contact any of the presenters via Facebook or e-mail. You can also get a ticket on the evening from The One and All where the team will be starting their festive fun from 7.30pm.
