Man dies after crash at Rame

A 53-YEAR-old man from Rosudgeon has died following a two-vehicle collision on the A394 at Rame on Sunday morning.

Peter Coram was driving a BMW Z3 car towards Falmouth from the Helston direction when it collided with a Volkswagen Polo travelling in the opposite direction shortly before 8am.

Mr Coram died at the scene and the female driver of the Polo was initially taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, Truro, with serious injuries before being transferred to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision which was attended by officers from the Serious Collisions Unit at Camborne.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact PC Keenan on 101, quoting log number 204 of January 19.
