TUESDAY

ILLOGAN RBL secured their second successive Jolly's Cornwall Combination League title with a 2-0 home victory over RNAS Culdrose at Oxland Parc on Tuesday evening.

Goals from Luke Johnson and Jack Coleman were enough to earn the home side their 31st league victory of the season, although they were made to work mighty hard for it by a spirited Culdrose side who produced a performance belying their lowly league position.

Elsewhere Wendron United ensured runners-up spot after beating St Ives Town 4-0 at Underlane, while Ludgvan's season ended in something of a whimper as they went down 3-2 at bottom of the table Porthleven.

Golden boot winner Gerens James scored both goals for the Hurlers, who lost four of their last six games but still finish in a credible fourth place.

Mullion were the night's big winners as Rob Carey and Alan Thomas bagged four goals apiece in a 10-0 home victory over Falmouth Athletic, with Phil Cattran scoring the other two.

St Agnes were 3-1 winners at home to Troon, who finish second from bottom.
