4.28pm: Well, after Wales' stuttering victory against Italy, all eyes will now be on the Stade de France for what is the most mouth-watering game of this opening weekend. Can England's inexperienced back line cope with such a big occasion – and can France turn around last season's appalling form? Only time will tell. Kick off is at five pm - just half an hour away.

4.59pm: Anthems done, time to go. Good luck Jack!

5.03pm: France try after 35 seconds, all after Jack knocked on from the kick-off. Things can only get better from here. France 5-0 up.

5.08pm: Better from England and Jack, multi phase move leads to a penalty, which Farrell kicks. All will be feeling better now, especially Jack, who was involved in the move a couple of times.

5.16pm: Great chase and tackle from Jack, led to an England breakaway. All settling down now.

5.23pm: Not been a dream debut so far, but hard to play on the wing when your team is on the back foot.

5.35pm: A good run there from Jack, but his offload goes into French hands.

5.37pm: Solid defence from Jack again, England manage to keep France out.

6.08pm: Jack left isolated after a good run, France get the turnover.

6.32pm: Brilliant break by Nowell puts England in a great attacking position, lineout 5m out.

6.37pm: Jack's game is over. Shaky start, but grew into it in very difficult circumstances.

6.54pm: All over, France win a dramatic game 26-24.
