A 'SCRATCHCARD ROBBER' was the subject of a major police manhunt this week after he made off from a petrol station at Fraddon, just off the A30. Officers were called to reports of a male with a handgun who stole a quantity of scratchcards from the Shell garage around 10.30pm on Monday night. Armed and unarmed officers, supported by the police helicopter, searched the area. The suspect is described as being a white male in his late teens/early twenties. He was wearing a blue striped top and a green balaclava. Inspector Andy Oliver from the Force Control room said: "I would like to assure the public that incidents of this nature are luckily few and far between in the two counties. No one was injured." Call 101, quoting log 801 of September 17, with any information.
