FUNDRAISING is under way for this year's Lafrowda Festival in St Just.
Organisers have arranged a number of events to raise the cash for the town's summer showpiece, with the first taking place later this month.
A jumble sale is set to be held at St Just WI hall on January 25 and people are invited to find themselves a gem between 10am and 2pm on the day, when a café will be selling cakes, quiches, soups and hot drinks.
One of the festival's organisers, Julia Kerrison, called for everyone to get behind the push. "Please come along, show your support for your local festival and grab a great bargain," she urged.
Next month another two fundraisers are planned in the town.
Cinema Lafrowda is set to go ahead for the fifth time and will see screenings in the WI hall every Saturday throughout February.
On February 15 a children's pirate-themed matinee is booked in, while teas, coffees and other refreshments will also be on offer.
Miss Kerrison added: "Come along, brave that February drizzle and prepare to be dazzled – all in aid of Lafrowda."
