PIRATES youngster Jack Stanley has been included in the England U16s rugby union squad for games against Italy and Wales in April.
The 16-year-old prop forward impressed selectors at Hartpury College and was selected to play for his country at tighthead prop in a practice match against Gloucester U17s, which they won 28-8.
Jack, from Helston, will play another game for England next month when they face Northampton U17s, before taking on Italy and Wales in April.
The teenager plays for Penzance & Newlyn RFC and is a member of the Exeter Chiefs Academy.
He said: "It's great that all my hard work has paid off. I couldn't really put into words just how I felt when I was told I was in the England squad.
"I've just got to keep my feet on the ground, take it one step at a time and keep working hard. It will be a massive honour representing my country."
