CORNWALL earned a dramatic extra time victory over Guernsey in the FA County Youth Cup at Priory Park, Bodmin.

The Duchy will now be at home to the London-based Amateur Football Alliance, with a date and venue to be arranged.

Guernsey took a 32nd minute lead in the first round tie through Daniel Hale and although Cornwall dominated, and hit the woodwork several times, there was no sign of the late drama to come.

After a sustained period of Cornwall pressure, Newquay's Callam Mconie equalised 11 minutes from time and an 83rd minute strike from Porthleven's Jordan Annear seemed to have snatched victory for the home side.

However, Adam Smith equalised for Guernsey in stoppage time to send the tie into extra time.

After an uneventful first period with both sides showing signs of fatigue, Cornwall finished the stronger and secured a hard earned victory with two quick goals in the second period.

Camelford's Kyle Flew put the Duchy ahead in the 112th minute and Mconie's second goal of the tie, three minutes later, clinched victory.

Both sides served up a very open spectacle played in a very sporting manner.
