Dignitaries pay annual tribute to the Few

THE annual service to commemorate the Battle of Britain took place at St Peter's Church, Newlyn on Sunday.

Among those attending were Air Commodore Ian Wood RAF (Retd), Penzance's mayor Phil Rendle and, from Penzance's RAF Association branch, Michael Eddy, James Booth and chairman Geoffrey Richards. After the service, the party walked to the war memorial for an act of dedication and the laying of wreaths.
