THE ROTARY Club of Mount's Bay is raising much-needed funds for the League of Friends of West Cornwall Hospital with its St Michael's Way walk this year.

The sponsored walk has raised more than £90,000 since its inception in 2003, helping Macmillan Cancer Support, ShelterBox, Cornwall Air Ambulance, St Julia's Hospice and Rotary's own charities.

As in previous years, alongside the main 12-mile walk from Lelant to Marazion there is a shorter 3.5-mile circular walk from Marazion. The walk will take place on Sunday.

Steve Green, from the club, said: "We are looking forward to getting as many entrants as possible registering for the walk, either as individuals or in teams and will particularly be hoping that NHS staff will be signing up in great numbers."
